What do you hope to get from being an EOP/HEOP Ambassador?

I hope to deepen my leadership skills while actively supporting and empowering underrepresented students. As an ambassador, I aim to foster a sense of belonging within the community and help new students navigate their academic journey with the same support I received. I also look forward to learning from fellow ambassadors and expanding my network within the HEOP community.

What advice do you have for first-year students?

My advice is to take advantage of all the resources available to you, whether it’s academic support, extracurricular activities, or mentorship programs like HEOP. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and get involved early on, as building relationships and finding a support system will be crucial to your success. Also, embrace the ups and downs of the transition — every challenge is an opportunity for growth.

What do you hope to do with your career in the future?

I aspire to pursue a career in hospitality and real estate, where I can combine my passion for community-building with my interest in business and service. I’m particularly focused on creating inclusive spaces and opportunities that benefit diverse communities, and I hope to leverage my skills and experiences to contribute to positive social change within these industries.
