What was your favorite part about being an OADI program student and about OADI?
My favorite part about being an OADI student is the support I have received from my advisor Foula! Every time I walk into that office I walk out with a smile, Foula's support in the best and toughest times has made Cornell easier to navigate. My favorite part about the OADI office is their Tuesday lunches, not only do students get to meet amazing people but we also enjoy some of the best Ithaca food.
What is next for you and what is your plan after college? What are your long-term goals and dreams?
After graduating this December, I will be traveling to Colombia with my best friends before officially starting my job in February. I’ll be joining Bank of America, working in Finance! Looking ahead, my ultimate goal is to become a Corporate Lawyer, where I hope to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion policies to help dismantle barriers in corporate cultures and create opportunities for underrepresented groups.
Any tips or words of advice for underclassmen, such as what worked for you?
College is the perfect time to explore your interests. Try out different classes, internships, and extracurriculars. Even if you think something isn’t for you, you might be surprised—and even if you end up disliking it, you’ll learn what you don’t want, which is equally valuable.
Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is that I went to Aviation High School in NYC, where I gained a background in Aviation Mechanics! It’s such a unique experience that taught me hands-on technical skills and gave me an appreciation for how things work behind the scenes in aviation.
