Let me know what was your favorite part of OADI?
The community and the feeling of home it created for me. It’s a space where I always felt seen and supported. It became a place where I could connect with others who shared my experiences and values, and that made all the difference during my time at Cornell.
Do you have any advice for incoming or first year students?
Be yourself, and trust your instincts. You’re here for a reason—believe in that. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or take up space—you belong here just as much as anyone else.
What is next for you after Cornell?
I’ll be working as a medical assistant at San Joseph Hospital in Orange County, CA to gain clinical experience before applying to medical school. I’m excited to be in a hands-on environment where I can learn directly from healthcare professionals and continue growing in my passion for medicine.
Tell us one of your most important dreams or goals.
One of my biggest goals is to become a doctor and give back to underserved communities, especially those that reflect my own background. I hope to not only treat patients but also advocate for health equity and representation in medicine.
Tell us a Fun fact about yourself!
In elementary school, I once hiked to the top of a small volcano in Guatemala before sunrise.
