Research Interests: My dissertation work focuses on creating a mobile app for parents of preschoolers to support healthy eating and active play at home. I’m passionate about helping kids build healthy habits early in life to prevent childhood obesity. A big part of my work is also about communication—designing and testing simple, motivating messages that make it easier for parents to support their children’s nutrition and physical activity.

About Me: I grew up in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, and moved to Chicago for my masters where I learned about winter for the first time. My favorite Ithaca hobbies are hiking in the gorges, paddleboarding in the lakes, and picking local fruits and veggies. I also love to read (fiction and nonfiction), paint, dance, and sing.
