Hello! My name is Sam Garner and I’m a sophomore in the School of ILR from Knoxville, Tennessee. I’m majoring in Industrial Labor Relations with prospective minors in philosophy, moral psychology, and inequality studies, and I plan on going to law school and practicing as a defense attorney. One of the reasons I joined P3 was the sense of community and support it provided me as a Blasian student from a family of 10 kids(!!) who knew that a strong support system of diverse, inclusive people is what I needed and exactly what P3 and OADI are. Outside of P3, I am an ILR ambassador, Intergroup Dialogue Project (IDP) facilitator, in Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Mock Trial, and the VP of Recruitment and Marketing for my social sorority. This Fall, I plan on helping to write motions to local judges, vacating eligible sentences pursuant to the NY Clean Slate Act going into effect November.
