I am a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Global Development. My research looks into the gendered effects of childcare in the US labor market, and climate change effects in low-income countries. Broadly, I am interested in questions that lie in the intersection of development and environmental economics.

I recently completed a PhD in Economics at Syracuse University. I am originally from the Philippines where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Management at Ateneo de Manila University, and have worked for six years in banking and international development before making a career change towards academic research. I have benefited from quality mentorship as I navigated this transition, and only hope for others to be as lucky in their professional careers. I am committed to offer support and resources to all, and hope to positively contribute in helping underrepresented members in our campus community.

I pursue a wide range of hobbies in Ithaca which includes, hiking, bird-watching and more recently, woodworking.
