Our Mission, Vision, and Values

OADI Mission

OADI’s mission is to ensure students have equal and equitable access to educational and professional-development opportunities that empower them to develop and leverage their own agency as they seek to achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals.

OADI Vision

Positively influence the academic journeys of Cornell’s diverse student populations, so they are best positioned to create not only a prosperous livelihood but also a meaningful life and legacy.

OADI Community

OADI’s welcoming community supports undergraduate students who are traditionally underrepresented and/or underserved. These populations include but are not limited to students who identify as students of color, low-income, first-generation college students, veterans, non-traditional students and the intersections of these and other identities.

Our signature programs and direct services facilitate access to the broadest range of academic and professional enrichment opportunities at Cornell. OADI is also committed to a culture of inclusion in which students from diverse backgrounds experience a genuine sense of belonging, engagement and achievement. We value and celebrate the unique strengths and experiences that students bring to our space.
