Research Interests : My current research falls under two broad initiatives. My first goal is to study how we can cultivate norms of moral optimism that motivate us to see the best in others through increased empathy, mutual understanding, and social awareness. My second aim is to leverage behavioral science to empower everyday contribution to the public good—be it in the form of optimizing donation behaviors, promoting sustainability, or reducing interpersonal and intergroup conflicts.
About Me : I am a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Psychology. Before starting here at Cornell, I first obtained my B.S. in Psychology from Duke and then worked as a lab tech in social and affective neuroscience before transitioning to coordinate field studies as a project manager in an applied social psychology lab. I currently call Boston home, but I have lived all over the United States. After hours, I will likely be found at the gym, playing soccer with friends, and attempting ambitious new culinary recipes—usually in that order.
