Melody is a junior in Human development. She is also the founder and director of Kids Like Us (KLU), a New York State non profit that serves adoptees; foster youth; and low income families. She also has worked in the childcare field for over half a decade. Working at OADI will give Melody the chance to gain crucial office skills and support students who are commonly underrepresented. After graduation, Melody plans to settle in Ithaca; expand KLU; and establish therapeutic services catered to survivors of the child welfare system. In her free time, Melody enjoys reading; listening to music; taking walks; and cooking!
