HEOP helped me find community with other Latinas and FGLI (first generation, low income) students, as well as people with living experiences different from my own. It has integrated diversity into my life and helped me uncover a love for political, state-specific advocacy. It has helped me navigate college with a supportive group of people whose mission is to see me and others like me succeed and thrive. In short, it has helped me become the best version of myself and given me a warm, considerate, compassionate family.
