Hilary’s experience as a first-generation college student inspired her dedication to educational equity and student empowerment. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies as well as a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English Language Arts at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Hilary taught English and AVID in Title I public high schools in Santa Monica and Santa Barbara, California for eight years prior to transitioning to higher education and moving to Ithaca, New York in 2023.

Hilary is thrilled to be a part of the OADI family. Her approach to advising is holistic, strengths-based, and rooted in trauma-informed practices. She is passionate about ensuring that students have the agency, skills, confidence, and community to thrive throughout their unique higher education journey and beyond.

Outside of work, Hilary loves spending time with her partner and their furry creatures, basking in warm weather, cooking for friends, learning languages, and eating everything spicy.
