Research Interests: I am broadly interested in plant-fungal interaction. More specifically, my current work focuses on the ways that mycorrhizal fungi influence nutrient cycling in forest soils. One of the long-term goals of this project is to inform predictions of terrestrial carbon storage under multiple global change scenarios.
About Me: I am originally from Boise, ID and spent my time there swimming, hiking, and running all over the state. In 2019, I moved to Portland, OR to get my bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Portland. While living in the Pacific Northwest, I fell in love with foraging for wild mushrooms (which set me on the path toward studying them in my PhD). In my free time, I also enjoy reading, cooking, and getting coffee with my friends.
