Research Interests: My research focuses on developing sustainable and effective management strategies to aid farmers in lowering the impact of plant diseases on vegetable production. Particularly, my current work focuses on fruit rot of watermelons and other cucurbits. I am interested in understanding the biology of the pathogen and how it exists in the environment as well as testing conventional and novel management strategies to ensure we are providing farmers with the most up-to-date information.
About Me: I am from Queens New York and grew up with a deep appreciation for food and agriculture. In my free time I enjoy gardening chaoticly and cooking meals for my loved ones. I also enjoy being out on the water (swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking) or exploring new hiking spots. My favorite vegetable to grow is an onion and my favorite vegetable to cook with is eggplant.
