Research interests: My research interests lie at the intersection of plant breeding and genetics, crop nutritional quality, and food and nutritional security. I am particularly interested in understanding the genetic, physiological, and metabolic mechanisms that influence crop responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. My goal is to use these insights to develop resilient, nutritionally improved crop varieties that can contribute to sustainable agriculture and global nutritional security.
About Me: I am originally from Assam, India, a place known for its beautiful landscapes, tea gardens, and rich cultural heritage. Outside of research, I enjoy playing racket sports and cooking, especially trying out different recipes. Most importantly, I love spending time with my baby, which is currently my favorite way to unwind and enjoy life outside of academia.
