Manuel Cortes Romero is a senior majoring in Animal Science on the pre-veterinary track, with a minor in Infectious Disease. He aspires to become a veterinarian serving Latin communities across the U.S. and Latin America. Manuel is a Pre-Vet P3 Ambassador, Co-President of Minorities in Animal Science, and the SAVMA Representative for the Pre-Vet Society. He is also an EOP Scholar and a Meinig Scholar.

Born in La Ceiba, Honduras, and raised in Queens, New York, Manuel is passionate about combining animal health, public service, and cultural connection. In his free time, he enjoys watching America’s Next Top Model, reading (currently The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller), and horseback riding.
