Nazir (Adam) Sharifi is a first-year MS/PhD student in the graduate field of Soil and Crop Sciences and a former McNair Research Scholar. Under Dr. Matthew Ryan in the Sustainable Cropping Systems Lab, Adam is conducting research on optimizing organic no-till corn production and has interests in sustainable weed management, cover crops, and agroecology. In addition to his work as a Graduate Program Coordinator for the McNair Research Scholars Program, Adam is a graduate committee member for the CALS Committee on Diversity and Inclusion and has been recognized by the university as a Graduate School Dean's Scholar.
