What was your favorite part of OADI?

From the very beginning of my academic journey, the Office of Academic Diversity Initiatives (OADI) has been my main support system. They have been instrumental in providing me with financial, educational, and mental health support throughout my time at Cornell.  Through my engagement with OADI, I have learned to understand my strengths and weaknesses, and I have developed a thorough plan to make the most of my academic meetings. With this plan, I have been able to navigate my academic journey effectively, gaining valuable knowledge and skills that will be beneficial for my future pursuits.

What is next for you after Cornell?

After graduating from Cornell, I have decided to pursue a master's degree in landscape architecture at Harvard University. I am excited to continue expanding my knowledge in the field and exploring new areas of study. I believe that this degree will open up many opportunities for me to make a positive impact on the world. Once I have completed a semester at Harvard, I plan to take a year off to conduct my own research. I was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship through Cornell University to study the impact of rising sea levels on women living in the Himalayas in the Ganges River delta region of India. This research would be a continuation of my thesis I started at Cornell. I am passionate about addressing critical issues affecting communities around the world and believe that this research project will help me make a significant contribution.

Tell us a Fun fact about yourself!

In my free time, I enjoy taking care of plants and riding my bike through the hills of Ithaca. These activities allow me to connect with nature and reflect on my personal growth.

Overall, my academic and personal journey has been guided by my engagement with OADI, and I am grateful for the support they have provided me. I am confident that my experiences at Cornell and Harvard, as well as my research projects abroad, will equip me with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a positive impact on the world.
