Research Interests: I study how errors in recombination during germ cell development leads to infertility in mammals. Specifically, I study a protein expressed in oogenesis called CNTD1 and its role in regulating crossovers during meiotic recombination in oogenesis. My broad research interests are targeted towards the biological mechanisms underlying human infertility.

About Me: I am a PhD candidate in BMCB. I am from Seattle, WA and I grew up riding horses, playing soccer, running cross country and track and field. I went to Washington State University for my bachelor’s degree where I also played horse polo. After graduation, I worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as a research technician. Outside of the lab, I love riding my horse Fassetta, baking cookies, and doing STEM outreach.
