Subash was born and raised in Nepal. A first-generation college student, Subash came to the United States in 2016 to pursue his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Wichita State University. During his time at Wichita State, Subash was extensively involved with the UPP (Undergraduate Peer Partner) and ACE Mentorship Program. That is where he found his passion towards helping students navigate through the academic spaces of life. He recalls- I really wish I had someone to sincerely guide me through different transitions in my life. “Well, coming to the United States by myself and having to learn things on my own was the biggest”, he continued.

Upon finishing his undergraduate degree, Subash came to Cornell University to further pursue his education. He is currently a second year PhD Student in the Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering. As a joint member of the Xu Lab and the Rudd Lab, Subash studies the behavior of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells of different developmental origin inside the lymphoid tissue during infection using intravital imaging techniques.

Subash is a varsity table-tennis player at Cornell. During his free time, Subash like to workout, play soccer and go on nature walks. When at home, Subash enjoys cooking, playing guitar and writing poetry.
