Besjon Tanuzi is a second year MPA student at the Brooks School of Public Policy concentrating on Economic and Financial Policies. He is an Infrastructure Policy, Management, and Finance Program fellow and was awarded the Master’s and Internship Program Scholarship by the Albanian-American Development Foundation. Before joining Cornell, Mr. Tanuzi worked for the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Albania. He is an experienced fiscal risk analyst whose expertise extends to identifying the risks of general budget implementation and those from non-budgetary activities related to State-Owned Enterprises, and Public and Private Partnerships. In his 5 years in public service, he worked closely with the WB and IMF to improve PFM practices and risk assessment & mitigation framework in Albania. Mr. Tanuzi holds a BA and MSc in Business Administration from the University of Tirana. In 2015 he was awarded the first prize in the Hackathon Event from the Albanian Institute of Science, and he holds the Public Financial Management and Financial Programming and Policies certificates.
