Conference Details

This year’s day-long conference will take place at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Conference Goals

Through alumni and student-led discussions and workshops, we seek to strengthen our network and skill sets for the benefit of the community.

Short-Term Outcomes:

  • Students, alumni, and staff will collaborate to successfully plan and execute an annual conference.
  • Students will articulate the importance and benefits of a formalized statewide network.
  • Leveraging cross-network collaboration (professional staff, students, alums), students will identify actionable next steps in developing our network.

Long-Term Outcomes:

  • We will foster greater sense of community among the members of the NYSOP Network.
  • We will increase the networking strength of the NYSOP family, improving the academic and professional outcomes of participants.
  • We will develop a professional association (the network), by and for NYSOP members, with the ability to offer targeted academic and professional resources to its members.
