In light of the unknowns we’re all facing because of COVID-19, OADI Funds, accessed through Student Organizations will be suspended until further notice.  Please understand, if you have already or were planning to submit an application for funding, OADI will no longer be reviewing those for consideration.  Although we continue to value the academic, co-curricular, and professional enrichment opportunities we traditionally support, we’re positioning ourselves to address the most pressing needs of our students moving forward. As we gain more clarity, we will update you on any changes.

Student Organization Funding

Student Academic and Professional Organizations play a vital role in the development of leadership skills, while fostering a stronger sense of acceptance and community around mutual areas of interest. 


The Office of Academic Diversity Initiatives (OADI) provides funding to university-recognized undergraduate student organizations to support events that fulfill the two following objectives:  

  • Promote multicultural student academic success/achievement   
  • Provide professional development for members of cultural student organizations   

The maximum allotment for each award is $300. The OADI funding process is competitive, and funding is not guaranteed.  Please note, proposals must be submitted at least six (6) weeks prior to the proposed date of the event.
