Diane is a fifth-year PhD candidate in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Under the mentorship of Dr. Nelly Anadrawis-Puri, Diane researches mechanisms contributing to reparative or dysregulated inflammation in chronic tendon injuries. Diane was a McNair Scholar as an undergraduate at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), and received the Graduate School Founder’s Excellence McNair Fellowship as a first-year graduate student at Cornell. In addition to being a McNair Scholar, she served as the Teaching Fellow of the UMBC McNair Program, and is eager to carry some of that experience into her role as one of the Graduate Coordinators for the Cornell McNair Program. In her free time, Diane enjoys crocheting, baking, playing video games, and going to music festivals!
